{"id":13,"date":"2013-11-19T16:29:13","date_gmt":"2013-11-19T14:29:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/evol-forum.ch\/dei-en\/turning-points-year-0-2000-2012\/"},"modified":"2018-07-19T15:34:03","modified_gmt":"2018-07-19T13:34:03","slug":"turning-points-year-0-2000-2012","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/evol-forum.ch\/dei-en\/turning-points-year-0-2000-2012\/","title":{"rendered":"Turning Points Year 0, 2000, 2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">The turning points <\/span><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">The Year 0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">These annual calendars only give us an approximate indication and <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">method for comparison for determining our actual year, with differences <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">of up to 16 years in relation to the year zero. For the Christian churches <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">that established our calendar, two dates were and are important fixed <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">points for their calculation of the year, the creation of the world and <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">the birth of Christ. Crucial for any further comparison is the best possible <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">estimate for the year 0, because only then can we isolate where the years <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">2000 and 2012 really fit into our present calendar. Therefore, it is <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">important to establish which calendar to use as a basis of calculation, <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">which is where the controversies start. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">The creation of the World Years <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Although the Church\u2019s calculations of the origin of the world do not <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">a hold up in the scientific community (which has dated the earliest <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">stage of the world to the Hadean, approximately 4.7 to 3.8 billion <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">years BC) and they are not relevant for determining the year 0, it <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">is interesting and amusing nonetheless to examine them in brief.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">The Birth of Jesus Christ <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">The details already vary greatly in the gospels of the apostles of <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">the New Testament \u2013 those who would have known best: <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Matthew (Matthew 2:1) says that Jesus was born before the death <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">of Herod the Great (who died 4 BC) and Luke (Luke 2.2) says that <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Jesus was born during the first Roman census under Publius <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Sulpicius Quirinius (governor of Judea starting in 6 AD) \u2013 already <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">a difference of 10 years. Because Quirinius deposed the subsequent <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">and incapable governor, Herod Archelaus, this is more likely and <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">almost completely agrees with the New Testament (census under <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Quirinius, and later Herod Archelaus\u2019 command to kill the newborns, <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">which, after a series of events led to his dismissal \u2013 because he had <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">not acted on a Roman command but rather out of his own <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">fear and greed). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">Other sources <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Interesting at this juncture is an interview with Peter Habison, <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Director of Vienna Observatory (on December 24, 2008 with <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Radio DRS 1, Switzerland), with the title \u201cStar of Bethlehem\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">His conclusion from the Gospels, calendars and chronologies is: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small;\">The astrologer Johannes Kepler discovered a supernova and<br \/>\nthought it was the trigger for the conjunction of the star of<br \/>\nBethlehem, and then he found such a conjunction in the<br \/>\nconstellation Pisces in 7 BC. His conclusion was that a<br \/>\nsupernova\u00a0(star) had also emerged. Meanwhile, however,<br \/>\nthe supernova was disproven, and yet it is still evidence that<br \/>\nthere was a stellar appearance around the time of Christ\u2019s birth.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small;\">The Gospels of Matthew and Luke place the birth of Christ around<br \/>\nthe same time as the lifetime of Herod the Great, but according<br \/>\nto Roman tradition, he died in 4 BC.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">The Year 0 in calendar calculations <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Because it is not possible to accurately date predicted events, <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">the crucial question arises: when was the year 0? <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">The churches have been responsible for this until now and much <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">was improvised, as we have just seen with the creation year <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">of the world. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">Determination of the beginning of the calendar <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">\u201cIn 525 AD, using clues in the Old Testament and the New Testament, <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">the Roman-Christian monk, Dionysius Exiguus, determined the birth <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">year of Jesus to be 754 after urbe condita (since the founding of Rome). <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">The Anno Domini dating system was devised in 525 by Dionysius Exiguus, <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">who used it to compute the date of the Christian Easter festival, and to <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">identify the several Easters in his Easter table, but did not use it to date <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">any historical event. (&#8230;) He designated the first year of Christ\u2019s life with <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">one. The birth date and year of Jesus of Nazareth, however, were no <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">longer known to the subsequent Gentile Christians and were not recorded <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">by the contemporary and subsequent Jewish Christians. <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">Information differs in the gospels of the New Testament, which emerged <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">only generations later. According to Matthew 2:1 and Matthew 2:16, <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">King Herod the Great was alive when Jesus was born, and ordered the <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">Massacre of the Innocents in response to his birth. (&#8230;) <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">The Gospel of Luke states that Jesus was conceived during the reign of <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">Herod the Great (i.e., before 4 BC) while also stating that Jesus was born <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">when Cyrenius (or Quirinius) was the governor of Syria and carried out <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">the census of the Roman provinces of Syria and Iudaea. (&#8230;) <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">He first became the Governor of Judea, however, in 6 AD. Accordingly, <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">Jesus would have been born in the seventh year 7 according to our <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">current dating system. (&#8230;) <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">The Christian calendar is based, therefore, on uncertain assumptions <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">with regard to the equation of year one with the birth of Jesus Christ.\u201d <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">(Wikipedia)<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Yet another year of difference results from the use of 0 for the first year. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">\u201cYear zero\u201d does not exist in the widely used Gregorian calendar or in <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">its predecessor, the Julian calendar. Under those systems, the year <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">1 BC is followed by AD 1. (&#8230;) <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">The absence of a year 0 leads to some confusion concerning the <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">boundaries of longer decimal intervals, such as decades and centuries. (&#8230;) <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">This rule results from the fact that the Gregorian calendar begins with a <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">year 1 instead of 0. Cardinal and ordinal numbering of years is therefore <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">identical: The year 10 is the tenth year of the calendar and the end of the <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">first decade. The year 11 is the first year of the second decade, and so on. <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">In spite of this rule, years ending in 0, rather than 1, are commonly <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">perceived as marking the beginning of a new decade, century, <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">or millennium. (&#8230;) <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">The Anno Domini era was introduced in 525 by Dionysius Exiguus <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">(c.470\u2013 c.544), who used it to identify the years on his Easter table. (&#8230;) <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">Dionysius did not use AD years to date any historical event. (&#8230;) <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">(Dionysius did not state the exact time of birth. For his Easter tables he <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">only equated specific years of the Roman calendar (with January 1 as <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">the beginning of the year) with an alternative count of the years after <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">Christ\u2019s birth using the year anni ab incarnatione Domini, Latin for <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">\u201cyears after the incarnation of the Lord\u201d.) Historians have never <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">included a year zero. This means that between, for example, <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">January 1, 500 BC and January 1, AD 500, there are 999 years: <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">500 years BC, and 499 years AD preceding 500. <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">In common usage anno Domini 1 is preceded by the year 1 BC, <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">without an intervening year zero. (&#8230;) <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">To simplify calculations, astronomers have used a defined leap year zero <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">equal to 1 BC of the traditional Christian era since the 17<sup>th<\/sup> century.\u201d <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">(Wikipedia) <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Seen from today\u2019s calendar, we have to realize that we are about <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">7 years ahead of the year 0 due to dating errors, calculation errors, <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">shifts and corrections, which we must account for accordingly. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">According to the information I have presented (from the calendars, <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">dating method for the year 0, history, gospels, science), the most <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">likely year of Jesus\u2019 birth is 6 AD of the Gregorian calendar. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">This also means that the actual year 2000 was our 2006 and 2012, <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">therefore, will be our 2018. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">If we use this method of calculation, we have a few years yet before <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">the prophesied events of 2012 could take place. This results in a time <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">frame of approximately 20 years as one end of the running cycle <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">(our 1998 to 2018) and an additional 20 years before the actual turning <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">point (our 2018 to 2038). As already mentioned in the cycles, it is not true <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">that turning points and their effects will take place all at once or on a <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">single day, but slowly and starting in advance so that the energetic <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">transition can occur smoothly. There are processes for and developments <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">in consciousness and certain qualities that are brought about through <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">vibrations and resonance and they are always in wave form. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Therefore, we should not be fixed on dates but on a time period. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">In addition, we should concentrate on our own internal changes, <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">not just on outward manifestations and changes in this \u201ccrazy world\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">The Year 2000 <\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">The topic of the year 2000 has three defining aspects: <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">the purely mathematical aspect of dating, dating in computer systems <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">and the almost simultaneous change in the cyclical calendars (linked <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">with the \u201cdoomsday scenarios\u201d, especially from the Apocalypse of <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">John and a special star constellation). In terms of dating, we have already <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">shed light on the year 0 and came to the conclusion that the actual year <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">2000 may be our year 2006. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">(Note to the curious: <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">What happened in 2006?\u00a0The year was marked by worldwide escalations <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">of war, newly erupted\u00a0famines and the massive accumulation of <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">environmental disasters \u2013 three\u00a0typhoons, four tropical storms and <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">the tsunami in Indonesia.\u00a0And according to spiritual sources it was <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">a pivotal year in which\u00a0everything moved and opened, which is why <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">some people see\u00a02006 as the year 2012).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">I believe, therefore, that the calendar year 2000 must be considered <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">separately, i.e. as a mathematically fixed point to adjust our calendar, <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">rather than year when something actually happens. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #2f3f88;\">The computer problem <\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Thus we come to the problem of dating in computers, which did not <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">actually have anything to do with the date itself, but rather the <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">mathematical counting method using zeros in computer systems <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">with regard to programming the last two digits of the year. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">The problem was caused by the practice of using just two digits instead <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">for four to indicate years. This was associated worldwide with the <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">prophesied millennium change, although there is no connection from <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">my perspective.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Above all, religious and esoteric groups reacted surprisingly strongly <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">and openly to this special 99\/2000 millennium shift. Precisely defining the year <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">0 as the birth of Jesus Christ in the year 6 AD of our Gregorian calendar <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">makes correlating the cyclical calendars much more accurate. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">They are remarkably consistent as to the end of 2012, which is actually <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">2018 according to our Gregorian calendar.
