Dear friends 

Today I would like to pass on this impressive presentation by Nate Hagens, which he showed at the „Earth Day Talk“ in April 2019: „Earth versus Amoeba“ https://youtu.be/oVdGqKMBcHw

It is about the separation between available energy and economic efficiency, illustrated by our current financial system in connection with the ongoing ecocide, but also by our economy and our behaviour as humanity.
Nate calls it „The Great Simplification“, which explains why the environment and the social situation are deteriorating and why we humans are not already making masses of meaningful changes until we experience „emotional clues“ in the form of crises. He also says that the more people who are aware of these issues in their communities and in their own lives — and are involved in the choreography of these issues — the greater the chances of a common, networked and creative response. Because we have a lot to lose — but also to win.
